About me

I am Liv, the founder and owner of Liv’s Canines, specialising in dog training and walking. 

My journey in canine training commenced at a young age, as I observed and assisted with working sheepdogs and gun dogs. My affinity for the Border Collie breed, nurtured during my upbringing, led me to become the proud owner of two remarkable Border Collies, Belle and Otis.

Belle arrived in December 2022 and stands as a testament to the trainer I am today. She embodies incredible intelligence and has a remarkable aptitude for learning. Otis then joined the family in September 2023 and together they have been my greatest teachers and influences.

If I’m not in the company of dogs, I’m often to be found with my beautiful horse Nick, a jet black Welsh part-bred who has been my companion since September 2019.

My passion lies in helping people to understand canine body language and behaviour, I employ positive reinforcement techniques to train both puppies and dogs, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of both pets and their owners.
